While a draught beer is said to be better, steel keg technology has many drawbacks (investment, logistics, quality, ecology and efficiency).
For a long time, Kurt, a brewer and computer scientist, has been looking for a more suitable way to transport beer. After thoroughly investigating all keg options on the market, he chose the Gprokeg’s HDPE reusable keg technology, which was not available in the EU.
Together with Tanguy, a bio-engineer and expert in international trade, they obtained the distribution for Western Europe. For Kurt and Tanguy, the packaging life cycle must be optimised per liter transported. Sustainability must be guaranteed from cradle to grave.
Beyond the improvement of the beverage conservation, the traceability of the packaging must be guaranteed throughout the barrel life and the goal of “zero waste” must be achievable.
